Below you’ll find my prices of 2024. These are subject to change in the future.

• Custom Book Cover: ebook $180, paperback +$50, vella +$20, audio book +$20
• Debut Author Custom Book Cover: ebook + paperback $180
• Author Website (Home, About, Books, Blog, Contact) $500
  *Possibility to include a Shop. +$300
• Social Media Graphics $5/each if I made your cover. Otherwise 10$/each.
• Author logo: $100

Apart from signing a contract, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit to start working. In case of any issue, you can use the deposite money for a later on date. The rest of the payment is expected once my work is ready to be sent to you.

My usually turn around time are 10 days to have your cover ready for you. It will depend on how many revisions your cover may need and how fast I get your feedback back. For other graphics, I usually need 3-4 days. For websites, my turn around is usually a few weeks, depending on how fast you provice me with the information I need (author photo, bio text, etc). For logos, once we have decided what you want, I’ll have something to show you in 5-7 days.

All stock images I use are licensed for commercial use with a standard license. You can use the images on your book cover and in any promotional material, such as social media graphics, Bookbub ads, your website… but you cannot use the images on merchandise items such as mugs, bookmarks, t-shirts, etc. You can purchase an extended license for all the images that have been used in your cover in order to create merchandise with them.

Stock image fees are included within the price of the book cover. If the author requires exclusive stock images, they must purchase them on their own.

Absolutely not. I’m agaisnt the use of AI generated images and I make sure to identify and avoid them in any stock site I work with. 

Pre-made covers are sold only once, meaning they are exclusive to each author. I accept up to 3 revisions on pre-made covers. Stock image fees are included within the price of the book cover.

When purchasing a pre-made cover, payment needs to be made first before sending the finished product to you. Once you have paid the invoice, it isn’t refundable anymore. 

By working with Maldo Designs, you agree to add design credit inside your ebook or paperback copies, linking to Maldo Design’s website (www.maldodesigns.com) and tagging Maldo Designs on your social media entries (www.instagram.com/smaldo.designs/).

First of all, I’m so glad you decided to trust me with your project! 

– If you’re buying a customized cover, this is what will happen next:

1. First, I will send you a contract for you to read and digitally sign. You may be wondering why we need a contract, and the reason is to protect us both while working together. It may sound intimidating at first, but you’ll soon see the contract is very standard and straight forward. It will only state both our obligations and rights.
2. Within the contract, you’ll be redirected to pay an invoice via PayPal for the 50% of the total amount we agreed on. This deposit will be non-refundable, but if anything happens, I’ll keep it for you for a later date and project.
3. Then I’ll send you some questions to learn what you want from your customized book cover, we will agree on images and fonts, and I will begin your personalized design. I prefer to keep communication open, and I usually show my progress as I work to receive feedback and adjust as I’m still working on the cover. I can make as many revisions as you wish, all within a reason, of course. This whole process will take me around 15-20 days, depending on how fast I hear back from you.
4. Once you have approved the final version of your cover, I’ll send you a second invoice with the remaining 50% of the amount we had agreed on. And once I receive the payment, I will send you the High Resolution files. Note: After you approve your design, any changes will have an additional fee, so make sure you’re 100% happy with the results first. This excludes sample blurbs: if I used a sample blurb on your cover, once you have your blurb/synopsis ready, I’ll add it with no extra fee necessary.
5. That same day, you will receive your final design packages from me!

– If you’re purchasing a pre-made cover:

1. First, I will send you a contract for you to read and digitally sign.
2. Full Payment will be expected at this point.
3. Then we will discuss the modifications you want on the pre-made cover and I’ll work on that. Please note that with pre-made covers, there are only 3 revisions available. This will take me around 10 days, depending on revisions and how fast I hear back from you.
4. Once you have approved the final version of your cover, you will receive your final design packages from me!
